Charles Gonzalez, Former U.S. Congressman Charles A. Gonzalez represented Texas’s 20th Congressional District for 14 years. Prior to his election to the US Congress, he was elected to County and District Court judgeships. He considers his most important votes cast in Congress to be the vote against invading Iraq and the vote for Obamacare. Mr. Gonzales succeeded his father, the late Congressman Henry B. Gonzalez, and together they represented the district for 52 consecutive years.
