May 2 Uniform Election

Several municipalities, school districts, special improvement districts and others will be on the May 2 Uniform Election ballot. We do not cover them, but closer to the elections we will list which ones will be on the ballot.

Election Day | Saturday, May 2

Early Voting | April 20-28

Important Deadlines:

First day to apply for a ballot by mail: Thursday, January 1
- You must request one from the Bexar County Elections Office Website or download an application from the Texas Secretary of State website unless you requested an annual application earlier this year. January 1 is always the first day to request one.
Last day to register to vote: Thursday, April 2
Last day for Elections Department to receive mail ballot application: Monday, April 20
Last day for Elections Department to receive mail ballot: 7 pm Monday, May 4, if carrier envelope is postmarked locally by 7 pm May 2. If sent by a service other than USPS or delivered in person on Election Day, it must be received by 7 pm on Election Day.

May 26 Runoff Election

Get ready to vote

Confirm your current Bexar County registration information is correct or learn how to register to vote.
Submit an application to vote by mail if you are eligible.
- Texas recently passed two laws designed to improve the mail-in balloting process.
Learn what to expect when you vote in person.
Obtain acceptable ID for voting. If you don't have the listed photo ID, and could not reasonably get one, you can still vote by signing a form and bringing an acceptable alternate ID. It's a good idea, but not required, to bring your voter registration card as well when you go to vote.
Visit VOTE411.org or pick up a Voters Guide at a public library to see who and what is on your ballot so that you can vote informed.
Find a Bexar County vote center where you’d like to vote at the Bexar County Elections website. Early voting sites are posted two weeks before early voting starts, and Election Day sites are posted shortly before that day.
