Voting by Mail

Get your mail ballot in early. The consolidation of Postal Service regional processing centers from 200 to 60 might cause mail ballots to be postmarked a day or more after mailing. Mailed Texas ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (Tuesday, March 3, 2026) and received by the next day to be counted, so it’s important to get your ballot mailed well before the deadline.
This postmark issue can be avoided by taking your ballot to an open Post Office and having it hand stamped with the date it is being mailed. LWVSA members can help get the word out about this change. Let's make sure that every vote counts.
