Please Join the League, Your Membership Matters

Did you know when you join the League of Women Voters you are joining three Leagues? You are a member of the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area, the League of Women Voters of Texas, and the national League. This past February, LWVUS launched a new membership portal for all Leagues across the country. Now when you join or renew, to help illustrate that you are joining three Leagues your email confirmation will list out the portion of your dues that goes to each League. Dues paid by credit card will reflect these portions as separate charges.

Did you know that now you determine your dues amount? The League has implemented a pay-what-you-can dues structure. The recommended dues rate is $75, but you can pay any amount more than that, or any amount less than that to a minimum of $20. The LWVSA and LWVTX are 501(c)(3) organizations and any portion of dues going to a 501 (c)(3) are tax-deductible. What portions of your dues that are tax-deductible will be identified in your confirmation email, which can be used as a tax receipt.
