Your Talents are Needed for the Voters Guide and Vote411

Claire Oxley, VP Voter Services | Published on 6/15/2025

This is the "Summer of Action" for LWVSA!  In that spirit, you are invited to an in-person meeting of the Voter Services committee on Saturday, July 12, at 2 pm, at the First Universalist Unitarian Church at
7150 West Interstate 10, San Antonio, TX. The Voter Services committee produces Vote411, the hard copy of the Voters Guide and hosts candidate forums. Our goal is to make this committee a team, with each member contributing to our work.

At the meeting we will discuss all the possible roles you can play in the production and distribution of the Voters Guide, production of Vote411.org and hosting candidate forums.  We will also discuss training that will be available for each role.  To publish the Voters Guide and its online version, Vote411, volunteers will reach out to candidates to encourage and remind them to participate; proof read the drafts of the Guides in English or Spanish; cut and paste translated materials into the Vote411 online format; contact organizations that distribute our Voters Guides to find out how many they want; and make deliveries in some cases. For candidate forums, volunteers will contact candidates; find venues; organize logistics; draft questions; act as timekeepers, moderators, registration table greeters and screeners of audience questions.

Your work will be recognized and appreciated by the community! Come be a part of educating voters with the information they need to be informed about candidates and issues.  RSVPs are not necessary but would be appreciated: reply to Claire Oxley by phone call or text at 210-426-7749.
